Just had a very bad experience with Centauro Alicante. They charged us 230 for a scratch underneath the front bumper which was apparently not in our contract. We had pictures from scratches all over the car when we picked it up, didn't think about getting on our knees to look underneath. About the contract, the only paper we got is a document where damages are marked in fluo on a car drawing which is not clear at all ! We are absolutely sure we didn't cause any damage! We will never rent a car from Centauro anymore! Please pay attention to this unfair situations! Next time we choose a reliable partner.

Had the same! Only after heavy pressure of the European Car Rental Conciliation Service (www.ecrcs.eu) Centauro paid back the claimed "damages". If you react tot the Centauro "customer service" you won't come any further. Complain at the ECRCS is my advice! Goodluck

We just had a very similar experience. We made pictures prior and after bringing the car back. We did not cause any damage. Now, suddenly we are charged 225 for damage at the front. Of which part of the car the picture was taken is unclear to us (the picture shows a white part with black scratches and a grey/black part suggesting it may have be taken from underneath. We had a white car (Fiat) with already quite some damage (marked with fluo on the
contract). Because of an early flight we had to put the keys in a locker. We are now trying to get our money back. Thanks Maarten for the suggestion of going to the ECRCS, we may go there if things do not work out with Centauro.
